Introducing our Director of Mindfulness: Hung Tran

Director of Mixed Mindfulness, Trần, Tiến Hưng

 

“Mindfulness is the art of living in the moment – with compassionate awareness and creative expression.”

 

Hưng’s mindfulness journey began at UCLA where he studied international relations and immunology while practicing Kung Fu and mixed martial arts under the teachings of Dr. Mark Cheng – creator of Tai Cheng, editor of Blackbelt Magazine, doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and master of mixed martial arts under the direct lineage of Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee. 

 

He has an MBA from USC and studied sustainability and luxury marketing at HEC Paris under the former CEO of Louis Vuitton and YSL. Hưng has over two decades of work in the headquarters of giant drug, healthcare, software and hardware companies as well as startups. He has traveled to Nepal, India, Bali, Nepal and Peru to seek teachers and masters of yoga, breathwork, meditation, energy, plant medicine and consciousness to discover how to live with and transcend anxiety and depression. As the editor for The Yoga Blog he published inspiring interviews of Don Miguel Ruiz, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Mark Whitwell, Pushpa Basnet. 

 

His personal legend is to harmonize people, planet with style, substance and symbiosis. Hưng's fulltime focus is launching a venture-backed mixed media company producing fine botanical oils while giving back 20% of profit and his equity to nonprofit partners. He is a conscious Vietnamese American artist, yogi, wellness connoisseur, former refugee and mindfulness activist bringing a fresh creative perspective to this world. 

  

Self love is for the artist, author, adventurer, activist and avant-garde in all of us. The enlightened journey is being in the flow of life with loving purpose. Mindfulness is the art of living in the moment with compassionate awareness and creative expression.
